Mission Statement
LIVINGWELL is a corporation whose mission is to encourage active participation
in a holistic approach to everyday life. LIVINGWELL recognizes that
everyone’s path to growth and healing is unique and that wellness
and balance are conscious choices. History
LIVINGWELL grew out of the vision and life experiences of two women.
They valued being active participants in their own health and wanted
to create a way for others to learn about this process.
After being incorporated on July 16,1998, LIVINGWELL
collaborated with practitioners who developed classes and offered
services in Salina, Kansas. Practitioners included a physician,
music therapist, clergy, whole foods consultant, nutritional supplement
specialist, chiropractors, mental health counselors, and massage/bodywork/movement
therapists.
Today
LIVINGWELL is now located in Manhattan, Kansas and the mission remains
the same. Currently the focus is on developing and providing a comprehensive
resource directory. LIVINGWELL serves as a catalyst to create a
forum where holistic health providers can network.
Future
The future goal of LIVINGWELL is a center designed to increase the
availability of comprehensive wellness options for the community
and surrounding areas . The center will be dedicated to providing
services, education, and activities that encourage and support a
holistic approach to life.
